Participation in the International TAQAT FORUM in London
Dr. Haidar Al-Abedi, Head of the Health and Medical Education Authority at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, announced from the British capital, London, during the First International TAQAT FORUM, the launch of a medical fellowship program dedicated to young Iraqi talents. This program aims to support specialization studies at top British universities in collaboration with prestigious educational institutions in the United Kingdom.
Dr. Al-Abedi also announced the introduction of Iraq's first major award by the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine to support scientific research. The award, valued at $200,000, will be granted for the best scientific research. These initiatives are part of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine's efforts to enhance Iraqi scientific capabilities and encourage research and development in the medical field. The conference aims to support institutions affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, such as the Warith International Cancer Institute, by providing scholarships and research awards. This is intended to improve healthcare standards in Iraq and enhance the quality of services provided.
